Wow, long blog!

This blog ended up being super long, you dont have to read the whole thing, lol. Its just basically for me to go back to and remember.

Today my mom dropped off some paper towels and some masks for Rody and I. We love them, thank you mom!!! And I gave her the other masks that Lela made for all of us. She is going to pick one and then take them to Kimmys so she can pick one. Then Im sure dad and Jared will pick one too.
I cooked some ham in the crockpot today. I was going to make scalloped potatoes, but I noticed the milk was gone. So I decided to make baked potatoes. Peyton loved hers! Shes a potato girl! Rody and I put cheese on ours and it was so good!!! And I made broccoli. Rody said the food was so good! Well thats a win win for me. haha

Im missing the girls I work with. The lady on the left in the pink sweater is my boss Carolyn. I have never had such a great boss. She is a born again Christian which is a major plus! She is so sweet! She lets all of us know she appreciates us. She is strict with certain things, but I have never seen a boss make things run so smoothly! Shes very strict about the whole work area being very clean! She always has something for us to clean, but sometimes she will say "you have been so busy, just rest, and take this time to just take a breath". Its so nice having a boss who asks for prayer, and a boss who says she is praying for you when I need prayer. O and every day when I leave, she says "Goodbye Vikki, thank you for all you do!" Like she makes it known that she appreciates us.
Then the black lady in the back is Nola, she was entered in the bowling hall of fame this year, we love her! She is only a sub, but she has worked every day this year when we had school, except for Thursdays, she is bowling with her league on Thursdays. What a sweet lady! Then theres Doris, in the blue apron and white shirt. She is the sweetest lady, she is always interested in all of our stories and she gives us her full attention. She is retiring at the end of this school year, Im sad to not be working with her in these last few months that we would of had with her before she retires.
Down below Doris is Jackie, I love working with Jackie, she makes me laugh so hard we both start crying. I cant wait to get back to working with her and hear her super funny stories! I swear she should write a book! She is very sweet! O and I also groom her dog for her.
Above Jackie is Amy, Amy is a sweetheart! She gives the best back rubs! She is very caring and she is a sweet coworker! She doesnt take crap from anybody! She is Mexican and always puts a Mexican word of the day up for the kids. If she forgets, they remind her. We always miss each other if we dont work together.
Above Amy is Diane. Diane is very outspoken, she says whats on her mind and she doesnt hold back. If she is irritated, you will know it! She is bossy with the new people. haha Also she is very tough on the kids. But if it wasnt for her, most of them wouldnt know their student numbers. She makes them memorize their numbers! Also she makes them say please and thank you! And this year I found out she is very sensitive. Whenever she sees a kid crying, she cant help but cry. She is fun to work with and she always writes funny things on the chalkboard in the bathroom, like funny sayings and stuff like that. And she always comes up with fun games for us to play as a group. O and she always wears cute socks, and cute earrings. Her frog earrings are my favorite!
Then on the side of her is Tracie, we call Diane and Tracie the twins because they are both tall with straight blonde hair, and they are built the same. I always call Tracie Tra Tra. She is very sweet, but also outspoken. Haha If you dont want everyone to know something, dont tell Tracy. She doesnt gossip, she just repeats what you say very loudly, without even thinking. Haha she is super funny, and the most "go with the flow" person I have ever met. She is hilarious, always talking to herself...always! And if we're in the dish room talking and then I leave to go put a dish away or something, she will keep talking to me even though Im not in there. We all laugh about it!
Below Tracie in the front is Shelley. Shelley is the best worker I think I have ever seen. She is very fast, very clean, and she never stops. Even when Carolyn tells us we can just talk and take a little break, Shelley is always working! Shelley left us last month. She got a job down the road at a different school, same district, so we dont see her anymore. She still talks to us on Facebook and we will still see her at the district meeting in the beginning of the year. We love Shelley!!!
On the side of Shelley is Jamie. She is our head cashier. She is very smart and does a great job. The kids love her, and she has most of their names, and some of their numbers memorized. And we have a ton of students! She is always busy and does things by the book! She is very strict about being by the book! We always talk about worship music we like, she likes 4 Him, Carmen, and Steven Curtis Chapman, and when I told her Ive been to all of their concerts, she was shocked! She didnt think anybody knew who they were. Once we played a game and had to bring in our favorite CD, she brought in 4 Him's CD and I knew it was hers right away. haha She loves the Lord, and she always prays for me. She loves her family too! I love working with her.
Thats me behind Jamie, and then to the left of me is Natalie. Natalie was very quiet at first. She is very calm, like even how she talks is very peaceful. She loves gardening, and eagles. And she is very earthy. I almost get the feeling that she used to be a hippy. She loves everything Kenzie makes. She is very interested in hearing and seeing what Kenzie is up to and what she is making. She has bought pendants, a little ornament that you put essential oil in, and she ordered more. Now we are off work so Im not sure when I will be able to fill her orders. I love working with her. She is very positive! She doesnt tell people much about her life, but she has had cancer, and had to shave her head. She had a mastectomy this year, and she has told me a few other things about her life. I thought she didnt like me when I first worked with her, but now I know that she is just a very private person. And when she opens up and talks about things, it makes me so happy. She is kinda like Doris, like she is very interested in what people have to say. We saw her at a restaurant once when we were out. Peyton and Isaac went up to her and said hi, then they both gave her a hug. I remember that was the last day of the school year that I worked at White Pine. And the first day of the next year, about 3 months later, she came up to me and said "I just wanted to tell you that I thought it was so sweet of your kids to come say hi to me and give me a hug!" she said that really touched her heart. I thought it was cool for her to remember that 3 months later. Anyway, she is such a sweet person to work with, the kids love her, and she talks so sweet to them! Then theres me...employee of the year! hahaha Just kidding! I was so nervous to go back to work after such a long time, but these ladies welcomed me in. I didnt love working there the first year, but these last 2 years with these ladies has been so much fun! I sure do miss them!

I dont ever want to take my job for granted. Good co workers, people who listen to your problems, and laugh with you. A christian boss, and co workers who pray for me. This is something I always want to remember being thankful for with this job. I also love all, well most of the kids lol. I like to be sweet to them, and always say "have a nice day!' to them. I pray for them as Im serving them. Im sad the 8th graders will be gone next year. I have had them for 3 years and now they are off to High School and I cant even say goodbye to them. Man I am sure going to miss some of them!!!

  1. Long, but very good write up of the people you work with. You do a great job describing them too. I bet they would have such great things to say about you. I am very proud of you Vikki. You have such a kind caring heart and are always so great with people.
