12/14/21

Went to work today, had a Charlie-horse at work and I had to work through it, it hurt so bad! I looked at my friend Amy while it was happening and she instantly said "Charlie-horse?" haha

I took Kimmy's yarn balls for the lady at a different school. So everyone was asking about yarn balls. 2 ladies asked if she would make them a set but I told them I didn't even want to ask her because they are way to much work. They were totally fine with it haha.

I had a major issue with a kid at work today. He was eating in my line and giving another kid food. The rule is no eating anywhere until you are out in the cafeteria. We have to tell kids not to eat in line all the time. I said "no eating in the line" and he looked at me and moved away from me. I said it again, and he said "I can eat in the line" and then totally ignored me. So I said "well the rule is you cant eat  in here, you have to go out in the cafeteria to eat." He said "Well Mr. Cole said I can." and then he walked away to a different line. I told him I was going to get Mr. Cole, and I was so frustrated that no matter what this kid wouldn't listen to me. I got the principal and she came in and made the kid go out, the kid was arguing with her too. After a few minutes, Mr. Cole came in and said "He was trying to get a milk because he forgot to get one". I said "Well he didn't say anything about the milk, he knows he can just come say he forgot his milk and I will give him one, he does that every day. He was mouthy, and he didn't listen to me when I told him he couldn't eat in here, he just kept eating and walking away from me." So Mr. Cole said " Girl, he was just playin with you!" I said "Wow, Mr. Cole, Wow!" And then Mr. Cole handed the kid the milk and said "Here ya go buddy!"
I was so mad! Like these kids are being taught that they don't have to listen to adults, they don't have to have any respect for adults, and they are learning it from an adult. Makes me so mad! More sad for these kids than mad really. Made for a bad end of the day! My boss is having me give him a milk tomorrow, that way he cant come back in, and if he does she said I am to charge him for a 2nd milk. This kid comes through my line every day, and he always gives me trouble. I'm adding him to my prayer list, because I believe he needs it! I'm glad he's in 8th grade, at least I wont have to deal with him next year.

I went and picked up the kids and took them to McDonalds and got our free Mc Chicken sandwich. They loved it! Tonight around dinner time, Peyton was begging for another one. Haha

The principal got each of us girls a White Pine umbrella for Christmas. Her name is Vikki, spelled the same way as I spell it.
I made myself some cheesy noodles and rice with broccoli for lunch/dinner (because I was still full from it) It was so good! Paul told me how he makes his broccoli, he puts salt, pepper, garlic, and butter in it and let me tell you...It is my absolute favorite now!!! It tastes just like broccoli you would get at Fridays Restaurant. So good!!!
After I ate, Peyton and I made snowflakes from paper lunch sacks. They are so easy. You put the flap side face down but the opening of the bag at the bottom, glue in a T shape, then stick 3 more bags on top of that the same way. Then you cut the top like a point, then above the flap part you cut like a tiny diamond shape, or whatever you want. Then you glue in the T shape 3 more bags, so 7 bags all together. Then you pull them around and glue the last and the first together. And walla you have a snowflake. They are so cute! And just so easy!

The kids ate dinner and then we watched TV, and then read the Bible. Then went to bed.

Here is Leon day 14: Looks like the Army guys are getting annoyed with all his messes just like I am haha

  1. Too bad Mr. Cole didn't back what you said up and be a better example to the kid. Sad that kids get away with being disrespectful. I will pray for the kid too. Nice umbrella! Amazing her name is spelled the same as yours. Love the snowflakes, beautiful fireplace picture and Peyton's cute picture with the snowflake.

  2. I would imagine that all who come in contact with this kid need prayer. He is a victim of his upbringing. It has been planted in him probably most of his life and time in the line at school will not change that. So...pray that your love will show through to him. If and when change comes it will not be one that you probably will see. Maybe he needs one of those pretzel kisses as a line reward. There are numerous ways to raise kids, some good and some not so good. It appears that he is in that latter group of raisers. Imagination the teacher's life that lives with him all day. Some words from an old, old teacher. Keep the faith Vikki. Love you bunches. School life has its ups and downs. LRussell.

  3. Lela, yes it does. It so hard. Today when he came through my line I was very sweet and cheerful, I wasn't going to let him see me react in a bad way. He needs good examples to look up to. He looked like he was going to try and eat in line, I smiled at him and he just walked out. That was a win for me haha

  4. It was actually a bigger win for him. I always tell you, you are making a difference in so many lives there. Keep being sweet joyful you. That is a gift God has given you to touch lives.
