Busy day today. I got up around 9:30. It was so nice to sleep in as long as I wanted for the first time in a while. I got up and ate breakfast. The kids had already eaten breakfast.
They hadn't found Leon yet, but when they did, they sure had a laugh. I did a load of laundry and cleaned the house.
I looked out the window and saw a lady trying to catch a little dog. She looked like she was having trouble so I went out there to help. I brought some treats with me. The lady said she was on her way to work but didn't want the dog to get hit by a car. I showed the dog the treat and he came right to me. He didn't have a collar, so he must of slipped out of his or something. Well, I thought this might be a neighbors dog so I decided to take it home and drive down there. It wasn't her dog. The dog was a shitzu, and it was very overweight. It didn't like me touching it so it tried to nip at me a couple times. I almost dropped him he was so heavy. He seemed deaf and couldn't make it up steps because he was so chunky and seemed to be old. We brought him inside to get some water and give him some food, incase he'd been lost for a while. He ate quite a bit and then went back for water. He really liked my dogs and my dogs were very interested in him. He got comfy on Lucy's bed, and then didn't want anyone coming near him. He would go to bite me if I even tried to touch him. But he was very happy just laying on Lucy's bed, so we left him alone. I posted some pictures of him on Facebooks Saginaw Neighborhood Watch site, and after about 30 min, someone messaged me and said to call Greg and gave me a number. I had him describe his dogs personality, just so I could be sure he wasn't just trying to get a free dog, and he described him perfectly. His name was PeeWee.
He doesn't look overweight in these pics, but he was a big boy! He was probably at least 30lbs. Much heavier than even Shiraz who is way taller than her.
The guy said he would be right over. I called Rody to see if he could stay on the phone with me while this guy came over, but no answer. Right as the guy pulled in the driveway, Aunt Debbie pulled in behind him, and I felt better. The guy was a big black guy, he looked like Carl Winslow from Family Matters lol. He was wearing a black leather coat with imprints of guns all over the coat, a little creepy and weird. But the dog seemed to know him and he was happy to see the dog. He said the dog was 13 years old. The dog followed him to his SUV, and then the guy picked him up. He looked like he had a little trouble picking that fat dog up lol.
Aunt Debbie came in for a little bit. She just wanted to see if I would go shopping with her for Matthew. I had to much to do so I said I couldn't. She said hi to the kids and then left right away.
I got ready and we headed to Peyton's friend Kaitlyn's house for a playdate. They haven't seen each other in a long time so Peyton was very excited to go there. The roads were horrible on the way there. We just dropped her off and then Isaac and I went to Salvation Army, then Under the Rainbow thrift store, and then to Menards. O and to Tim Hortons for a couple doughnuts. We tried to get a gift card but they said all Tim Hortons are out of gift cards right now, so that sucked! O well. It was about 5pm so we headed back to get Peyton, she had a ton of fun! They didn't take any pictures, so I dug up a picture from when they first met in Kindergarten...so cute!!!
