1/11/22

Peyton was feeling better today so she went to school. I didn't get much sleep last night and while I was at work I felt exhausted the whole time. 

When I got home my package of Kenzie's pictures came, a 5x7 for me and a 8x10 for mom. I love it!

Mom and Dad came over for dinner. We had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. It was so good!

I gave mom her picture of Kenzie and she loved it. Dad had a surprise for me. He got me this knife, I love it! He gave Kimmy a knife that he's had since we were kids, and we joked around about both wanting it. Kimmy got the knife in the end, and I was happy for her to have it. So dad surprised me with this one, which is very special. Since he went and got one to make me happy. He is so sweet!

We all watched a Medicine Woman together and then mom and dad went home.

After mom and dad left we watched another Medicine Women, then we read the Bible. The kids are excited that we are reading about Jacob and Rebecca. They love that story, and so do I.

The kids went to bed and Kenzie sent me some pictures of her house. They have done so much, it is such a huge difference.

 They finally got the floor done in the kitchen, so they could put their washer and dryer in the little nook. And they got the trim done too, they got to open their refrigerator and plug it in. It is so nice!!! They have been using a mini fridge the whole time since they moved in.

1/10/22

Peyton stayed home from school today. She had a sore throat and stuffed nose. I had to go to work so Nana and Daddy kept checking in on her. She basically watched Little House the whole time. 

Came home from work and took a nap after I got out of work. While we were watching Dr. Quinn I looked over at Rody and he and Lenny were having a moment! Haha So funny!

 

1/9/22

 Got up and watched church online this morning. Peyton slept till 1:30. We didn't wake her because she was up so late. I wanted her to not be tired for her first Choir practice today.

Didn't do much today. Around 2:30 I headed to the church for Peyton's first choir practice. She was very excited about it. When we got there I went in with her and paid. She knew a couple girls from school so she told me I could leave, since other parents were leaving.

I came home and watched some tv, and then went to pick her up at 5pm.  She had such a good time, she absolutely loved it!

Mom stopped by to pick up her calendar. I made it for her for Christmas and they finally finished it yesterday. It was nice to look through it with mom. She hung it when she got home. Looks good mom!

We ate BLT's for dinner. 

Then we watched Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. The kids love it!!

We read the Bible and then the kids got in bed.

1/8/22

 Peyton spent the night at Nana and Papas, she had a great time.

I went over there to get her and mom gave me another egg salad sandwich. It was so good! After that we watched Little House. Then we left.

We started watching Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. The kids loved it. Then we read the Bible, then the kids went to bed. Peyton couldn't sleep so she came out and laid down on the couch and listened to worship music with me. I watched worship on YouTube til 1;30 am and Peyton was still wide awake. I don't know what time she fell asleep.

1/7/22

 Went to my moms after I got the kids from school. Kimmy called and she said they were coming too. Rody got Adam a laptop, so I went home to get it before they got there. Isaac wanted to stay with Daddy. Rody wasn't feeling well cuz he got his booster shot yesterday. 

We had such a fun time, ate yummy egg salad sandwiches on moms homemade bread. It was so good. Kenzie came over for a while too. The boys played Super Mario while us girls and Eli watched Anne of Green Gables. We have loved that movie since we were little girls. The guys came out and watched it with us too after a while.

1/6/22

 This morning I got the kids up and off to school. I came home and ate breakfast and then rested until it was time to go to work. While I got ready for work the dogs were sleeping close, which they never do, I had to take a picture. 

Work went well.

After work I picked up the kids and then we headed over to Mom and Dads. My friend Danyelle was meeting me there to get her sons senior pictures that Rody did for her. It sure was nice to see her. She hasn't seen the kids since they were like 5 years old. I got some pictures of her with the kids, I wish I would of thought about us getting a pic together. She made me a tumbler with the golden girls on it. It was so sweet of her to think of me. She made a mistake on it but you cant even tell. Its nice to know that we are such good friends that she would even tell me that there is a mistake on it. Haha just like Kimmy giving me her mistakes. haha so funny! 

Danyelle noticed her and Peyton's shirts both said be kind. I thought it was cool so of course I had to take a picture. I mean what are the odds of her and Peyton both having that on their shirts.

We visited with mom for a little bit, and this picture of my grandma and Uncle Kenny made me miss them.

The kids played their Nintendo switch before going to bed, instead of watching a tv show. They played super Mario cart, I told them Kenzie and Jared used to play that, and they thought it was so cool that Uncle Jared liked playing a video game with Kenzie.

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was cool. Weird but cool!

We read the Bible and then went to bed.

1/5/22

The kids went back to school today. We weren't very thrilled with getting up at the crack of dawn. After I dropped them off, I went and got McDonalds breakfast. Then I came home and laid down until I had to start getting ready for work. I was dreading going back. 

Everyone was in a good mood, and it was nice. The day went pretty good.

After work I went to the thrift store, didn't find anything, but it was fun browsing. 

We came home and I took a bath, then I just relaxed the rest of the evening. We watched tv and then read the Bible before we went to bed.

Kenzie called and sent me pictures of their living room and kitchen. Its coming along nicely, they have been working so hard!

I  love the built in shelf in the living room, Kenzie does too, she said its her favorite!

1/4/22

 Didnt sleep good last night. Woke up to a mess made by Isaac. Not a great way to start out our day. I decided to shave Lenny. I didnt feel like taking a long time so I just shaved his whole body, ears, muzzle, and tail too. Poor Lenny caught me on a bad day. The kids cleaned their rooms while I did Lenny. 

We ate BLT's and Broccoli for dinner. 

Not to excited about going back to school/work tomorrow. Luckily its a short week.

Off to bed early tonight. Hopefully we have a better day tomorrow.

 We got up and got ready for the water guy to come check the inside water meter. He came and never found it, he even crawled under the house. Came to the conclusion that this house doesnt have a inside water meter. 

Then I went to Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Christmas stuff was 90% off at Hobby Lobby so I got a tree skirt that was $29.99 for $3 and a Angel tree topper that was $15 for $1.50

Rody was telling me something, and whenever he moved his hand Lenny went to shake it. It was so funny!

We changed our living room around...again lol.

I forgot to take a picture of it. 

I talked to Paul for a long time today and he fell asleep on me at one point haha.

Guess I'm pretty boring lol

Isaac made him and Peyton Mac n Cheese for dinner. Peyton wanted some so he surprised her and made it for her. It was his first time doing it all on his own.

After dinner, we watched a movie. It was called The Secret. It was ok. The kids liked it, but I thought it was a little weird. The kids decided the couch is Isaacs from now on, The love seat is Peyton's, My rocker is mine, and the other rocker is Daddy's. 

We had popcorn and Reese's peanut butter cups during the movie. After the movie, we read the Bible and then the kids went to bed. I'm right behind them! I'm exhausted!

1/2/22

 Wow its so weird to write 22 for the year. haha

Today we got up and watched online church, the message was so good! I straightened Peyton's hair before Kenzie got here, she must of been hot last night cuz she woke up and it was huge. She was happy to go with Kenzie, so was Isaac.

Rody came home from church, he and Isaac went out and shoveled the snow out of the driveway  We got a little over an inch last night.

Kenzie came and picked them up and they left right away. After they left I went to a couple stores. I remembered Hailey was coming at 3 to get a hair trim. I looked at my clock and it was 2:52. I called her right away and said I was on my way home, I was just leaving the Walmart parking lot. I made it home at 2:59. Hailey was in the driveway, I was happy to be there before 3 haha. 

Hailey loved the length of her hair when I was done. We had fun talking with no kids interrupting us. Thanks Kenzie haha. Hailey left right after I was done because she had a paper to write (7 pages) before school tomorrow.

While I was at the store, I got 2 cactus plants to plant in Peyton and my pots we carved from Kimmy. They sure are cute. Cactus are the only plants that don't die on me haha

When Kenzie was at Nanas, she took this picture on her new Fujifilm camera. I love it! She gave it to me, and she gave me this little frame, it looks so cute in it.

The kids came home and we all ate dinner, cheddar noodles with broccoli. Kenzie and Peyton went down to Rody's moms to say hi and take them the calendars I made. Aunt Ann gave Kenzie one to give to us, so now Rody has one for his desk too. They were happy to see Kenzie.

Isaac asked me when I'm going to be vacuuming again, I was like I don't know why...and he said he really wants to vacuum. I said go ahead and do your room. He was so excited haha what a funny kid.

We watched the Brady Bunch and then read the Bible. Were at the part where Abraham and Sarah have Isaac, its my kids favorite part of the Bible, mine too! Then they went to bed.

I did laundry, posted the blog and now I'm off to bed.
